Increased knowledge & understanding for a great organization…..

In order to help commemorate Autism Awareness month, members of several charities – including the Cozumel Rotary Club,   “Blue Sky over Austin” Foundation, the Friends of Cozumel, and of course the Centro de Autismo de Cozumel – gathered together  and “lit it up blue” to increase awareness and understanding for autism.

Director of the Center for Autism in Cozumel, Carla Manzanero Cáceres claimed that the Centro de Autismo en Cozumel was founded in 2008.  She went on to explain that donations and supplies are always welcome since families who have a member with autism often incur many additional expenses such as therapies, studies and special foods.  The community support helps both children and young people that currently attend the center.
