Daylight Savings Time Quintana Roo

Reminder: No Daylight Savings Time in Quintana Roo

Daylight Savings Time in USA Different than Mexico: Take Note

While the United States observes daylight savings time by springing forward the second Sunday in March,  this year, March 11, our area of Mexico will not change the clocks.

On Feb. 1, 2015 the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, which includes Cancun, Cozumel and Playa del Carmen, switched from Central Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time.

If you’re planning a trip please plan accordingly.  If you are arriving via a cruise ship, it’s best to consult your particular cruise line, as oftentimes ship time can differ from island time.

Proud parents to a variety of rescue dogs and cats, Laura continues to be the bane of her traditional Mexican mother-in-law’s existence, as she muses her way through life in the Mexican Caribbean.
