Own a vehicle in Cozumel?  Please remember that the deadline to renew your circulation card (Tarjeta de Circulacion) is March 31st.

Circulation Cards are subject to annual renewal, as opposed to license plate renewal, which occurs every three years.   This year both renewals are required.

There’s even a website –  – where you can get started.  You’ll need both your license plate number as well as the serial number for your vehicle and you can complete the payment process on-line and simply visit the office  – with your receipt and official identification –  to collect your new card.

The cost of renewal varies depending on the type of vehicle – generally speaking a motorcycle or scooter is around $200 pesos and an auto, which is based upon the year and model should be around $400 pesos.

In case you haven’t paid for your new license plates, which were due the beginning of the year, there will also be an opportunity to rectify this situation as well.
