Mexican military officers have been training alongside US Army officials in what will be a two-month joint training operation on sea rescue.

Cozumel is fortunate enough to serve as the training facility for both the Mexican Army and Navy in regards to sea rescue and advanced diving training.  For several years now members of the US military have also arrived to assist with this type of specialized training.  Additionally, there are 4 specialized tactical training camps in other parts of the country.

The US officials arrived last month and are expected to remain until the end of August.
