Traditionally, October is considered to be the wettest month here in Cozumel. Marking the tail end of hurricane season, November generally has less rain, and cooler evenings; caused in part by the cold fronts that oftentimes roll in during the month. However, this year November has also been marked with heavy, record-breaking rainfall.
According to authorities from Comisión de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado (CAPA) brigades of workers have been kept busy almost non-stop with “Operativo Tormenta” helping to drain low lying, flood sensitive areas, including parts of the northern hotel zone and inner low-lying areas.
