3rd Annual Cozumel Oceanman This Weekend

Sunday August 5th from 8 am – 2 pm ….

This upcoming Sunday Cozumel will host the third edition of the “Oceanman” swimming event. The event will take place on Sunday August 5th from 8 am – 2 pm.   Oceanman is a series of 5 open water swimming events – that take place various locations worldwide.  Cozumel is the second location on the competition circuit.  Last year, in spite of the fact that this was only the second time Cozumel served as a destination for the new competition, 700 amateur and professional swimmers competed in Oceanman Cozumel 2017.

Participants choose to compete in either a 10K open water swim, a 5K “Half Oceanman” or a 1.5 K “Popular” swim in the strong Cozumel currents.  There are also swims for children or Oceanman Kids as they are called.

serie de 5 eventos de natación que tienen lugar en distintos sitios en el mundo. Cozumel es el segundo sitio donde se realiza el circuito de la competencia. El año pasado, a pesar que sólo era la segunda ocasión que Cozumel sirvió como destino para la nueva competencia, el Oceanman Cozumel 2017 contó con la presencia de 700 competidores novatos y profesionales

 

Los participantes eligen participar en la competencia de nado en mar abierto de 10K, “Medio Oceanman” de 5K o el nado “Popular” de 1.5K en las fuertes corrientes de Cozumel.  También hay competencia de nado para niños llamado “Oceanman Kids”.
