Cozumel Residents Hope for “Early Bird” November Predial Discounts

Residents Expect Announcements Shortly…….

Traditionally, Cozumel land owners who choose to pay their Predial, or property taxes in November receive a discount – which can often me as much as 25% if paid at the earliest opportunity.   It is hoped that this new administration will carry on this tradition.

Although this discounted program still needs the approval of the Cozumel City Council, it’s hoped that the first payment level will start near the end of November.

Traditionally, the discount has gone down 5% each month through January, when the program ends and the 2016 taxes are due.   A 10% discount is also applicable to a yearly trash collection tax as well.
