3rd Annual Fly Cozumel Photo Contest

The flight has been flown, the budding photographers have had their rush of adrenaline, plus a round of incredible shots, and now it’s your turn to vote for the best picture!
Luz Marina, Asher, Juancho, and Adrian, four students from Cozumel’s Montessori School and the Gardner Institute, took to the skies over Cozumel and were given the opportunity to present their two best images: one of the Punta Molas Lighthouse and another complementary image of the island that they captured from the heavens.
Accompanied by the fantastic French photographer and Cozumel resident, Flo Serfati from Serfati Photography, the kids got to take in the paradise they call home from high up in the sky.

“Everybody thinks that Cozumel is beautiful, but when you see the island from above it really goes from beautiful to wonderful,” explained Flo.
“To share that experience with a younger generation was really fulfilling,” he continued.
“For one hour, those kids weren’t in front of a TV screen or Playstation but rediscovering their hometown.”
“It was magnificent to witness.”
Now, they are in the running not just for the bragging rights of being crowned the winner of our 3rd Annual Aerial Photography Competition, but also to get their very own photo seminar, “From Preparing a Shot To the Final Image,” with Flo Serfati. In addition, the lucky winner will win a scenic flight to visit the Sian Ka’an Biosphere by plane from Cozumel!
How to Participate in the Cozumel Photo Contest
Voting begins at midnight, Thursday, February 8th, and runs through until Sunday, February 11th at midnight.

Simply scroll through the photos below and choose your favorite picture that you feel best represents the talented photographic future of Cozumel!
The pictures have been uploaded anonymously and at random so that the winner is determined by who has the best image and not who has the most followers.
On Monday, February 12th, we will announce the lucky winner via our social media channels and the always friendly, consistently useful and awesome Cozumel 4 You community.

El vuelo ha sido volado, los flamantes fotógrafos han tenido su dosis de adrenalina, además de una ronda de increíble tomas de la isla. ¡Ahora te toca a ti votar por la mejor foto!
Luz Marina, Asher, Juancho, y Adrian, cuatro estudiantes de la Esculea Montessori y el Instituto Gardner, se treparon al cielo sobre Cozumel y fueron ofrecidos la oportunidad de presentar sus dos mejores imágenes que tomaron de la isla: una de Punta Molas y, la otra, cualquier foto que captaron de Cozumel desde la vista más celestial posible: en una avioneta con Fly Cozumel.
Acompañados por el fantástico fotógrafo francés y residente cozumeleño, Flo Serfati de Serfati Photography, los jóvenes pudieron observar el paraíso que es su hogar desde las alturas.
“Todo el mundo opina que Cozumel es hermoso”, explica el fotógrafo Flo.
“Pero cuando ves a la isla desde arriba,” añade, “de verdad se pasa de hermoso a espectacular”.
“Compartir esta experiencia con otra generación más joven ha sido bastante gratificante”.
“Durante una hora, estos jóvenes no estaban viendo la tele o jugando con su Playstation; ¡estaban redescubriendo su isla”!
