Navy Officials Arrest 3 People Leaving Marina With 20 Kilos of Marijuana
Asipona Naval officers (under the National Port Administration) seized a taxi driver and his two passengers as they attempted to leave the marina with a box containing 20 kilos of marijuana.
This arrest happened during a routine inspection of the taxi vehicle, as they attempted to exit the marina. The box was discovered in the trunk of the cab.
It’s been speculated that the kilos of marijuana arrived by a boat with the two passengers on board. Security footage of the marina shows the two men arriving on a motorcycle pulling a small trailer. However, apparently the men changed their minds and hailed a taxi instead.
Also of note, the boat that delivered the box had disappeared from the marina by the time the inspection of the taxi was taking place.
