Results of the “Rodeo de Lanchas Mexicanas” Fishing Tournament

 Congratulations to the “Real Passion”  &    Crew…..


With more than 5,000 points in captures first place in this year’s Cozumel “Rodeo de Lanchas Mexicanas 2018”  goes to the “Real Passion” and her crew.  This is the 47th year of what is considered to be the island’s biggest fishing tournament of the year.


“Real Passion”  scored first place with 5,130 points.  “Tucker Tales”  secured second place with 4,660 points and the “Celtic Dreamer”  nabbed third place with 4,525 points


The two day tournament took place from 8 am – 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, and the downtown pier, or Muelle Fiscal, was filled with well-wishers and participants as the boats came in for weigh-in.  The awards presentation took place on Monday at the Sky Reef at  3pm.

This was the 6th year that this important tournament offered a catch and release option.

Felicitaciones a la embarcación “Real Passion” y su tripulación . . .

Con más de 5,000 puntos en capturas, el primer lugar en el “Rodeo de Lanchas Mexicanas 2018 de Cozumel” se lo llevó la embarcación “Real Passion” y su tripulación. Este es 47º año del que es considerado el torneo anual de pesca más grande de la Isla.


La puntuación de “Real Passion” para obtener el primer lugar fue ton 5,130 puntos. “Tucker Tales” logró el segundo lugar con 4,660 puntos y el tercer lugar se lo alcanzó “Celtic Dreamer” con 4,525 puntos .


El torneo, con una duración de dos días, tuvo lugar de las 8 am a las 5 pm los días sábado y domingo, y el Muelle Fiscal se encontró repleto de admiradores y participantes conforme llegaban las embarcaciones al pesaje. La presentación de los premios se llevó a cabo en el restaurante Sky Reef el día lunes a las 3 pm.
