September is Will Month in Mexico:  Consider An Update

The Federal Government has designated September as the Month for Wills, offering this option to Mexicans as well as to foreign nationals at a very accessible cost without having to pay certain fees.

 

A Mexican notary, Notario Publico, can assist you in setting your affairs in order.  If you own a home, or belongings here in Cozumel. This is a great time to get your affairs in order.

 

In a well you can include not only real estate, bank accounts, and  stock,  but art works, vehicles, furniture, books can also be included.  Also of note, items that are personally deemed of sentimental value can also be designated to a specific individual.

 

A quick internet search can provide you with the names and locations of notaries on the island.

El testamento puede incluir no sólo inmuebles, cuentas bancarias y acciones, sino también obras de arte, vehículos, mobiliario, libros. Vale la pena mencionar que los artículos que tengan algún valor sentimental pueden legarse a alguna persona en especial.
