Cozumel Prince & Princess Run AMEXME Fundraiser

Upcoming 10th Annual AMEXME Prince & Princess Race  to Help Cozumel Charities

We invite you to take part this coming Saturday, June 25^th at 5 pm, in the upcoming 10th Annual AMEXME Princess and Princes Race to Help Support local charities and youth sports leagues.

Please join the AMEXME Cozumel (the Women’s Business Association) in signing up yourself or sponsoring a local youth to participate in the event

It is the main annual fundraiser for the women’s business association and is essential to help them fulfill their mission to promote women’s social and economic empowerment through our monthly continuing education programs.  This year there will be 3 categories, 5km run, 3 km run and 3 km DogJog for participants who would like to enter with their furry friends. Participants are encouraged to come in costume individually or in groups as their favorite royalty.  There are prizes in all the categories for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place as well as best costume – for the DogJog too!

Warm-up will start in front of the City Town Hall on Saturday the 25th at 5 pm with kick-off 6 pm in all the categories. 

The race route is along the waterfront and returning to the finish line in the main plaza in front of the town hall where prizes will be given out and a raffle held for registered participants.

The race kits will be handed out Friday the 24^th at Jeannies Restaurant in front of the Mega Soriana Plaza between 4-7PM.

Próxima 10ª Carrera Virtual Royal Race de AMEXME para apoyar a las organizaciones benéficas de Cozumel

Le invitamos a participar en la próxima 10ª Carrera AMEXME + Royal Race en apoyo a los negocios locales de Cozumel.

Por favor únase a AMEXME Cozumel (la organización de mujeres empresarias), registrándose o patrocinando a un joven local para que pueda participar en la 10ª Royal Race. ¡Los boletos cuestan sólo $250 pesos!

Este año habrán 3 categorías, carrera de 5 km, carrera de 3 km y DogJog de 3 km para los participantes que deseen participar con sus amigos peludos. Se invita a los participantes a venir disfrazados individualmente o en grupos como su realeza favorita. Hay premios en todas las categorías para el 1.°, 2.° y 3.° puesto, así como para el mejor disfraz, ¡también para el DogJog!

El calentamiento comenzará frente al Palacio Municipal el sábado 25 a las 17.00 horas con el inicio a las 18.00 horas en todas las categorías. El recorrido de la carrera es a lo largo del Malecón y con regreso a la meta en la plaza principal frente al ayuntamiento donde se entregarán premios y se realizará una rifa para los participantes registrados.

Los kits de carrera se entregarán el viernes 24 en el restaurante Jeannies frente a la Plaza Mega Soriana entre las 4 y las 7 de la tarde.

Una ex yanqui de Connecticut quien llama hogar a Cozumel desde hace más de 15 años. Laura escapó al Caribe hace años, desplazándose de una isla a otra dando clases de BUCEO. Se dedicó a perder el tiempo en Jamaica y finalmente se detuvo en Cozumel para pasar unas vacaciones de 2 semanas que aún no terminan. Convenciendo a sus padres que pagaran una elegante universidad privada, obtuvo su título en Periodismo y Laura crea semanalmente Cozumel 4You, medios sociales y artículos promocionales sobre la Isla y también es moderadora en el grupo Cozumel 4 You en Facebook que actualmente cuenta con 25,000 miembros. Fabián, s umuy tolerante marido, desde hace mucho tiempo se resignó a no tener vida privada, pues se ha visto implicado en los diversos proyectos y planes que urde Laura. Son orgullosos padres de diversos perros y gatos rescatados. Mientras contempla su paso a través de la vida en el Caribe mexicano,Laura continúa siendo la pesadilla en la existencia de su muy tradicional suegra mexicana.
