“Art for Happy Children” at the Cozumel Museum

Círculo Cultural Arcano organizes the collective exhibition “Art for Happy Children” for the second time, which is exhibited in the museum on the island of Cozumel until July 16, 2023. The closing activity consists of the official presentation of 73 pictorial works that make up this collective exhibition. The works were carried out by 37 children between 6 and 12 years of age. Liliana Macotela, organizer of the event, commented to Cozumel4You that this is an artistic education program but also has the objective of awakening the creative potential of children:
“make their human development from the basic level of education begin to develop completely, because today in the schools of Cozumel this training is not included in the educational load.”
There were 21 sessions in which children from public schools made the commitment to attend each one of them, thus acquiring the necessary knowledge to get their ideas down on paper. The program was taught to children by the artists Niurka Guzman and Eva Lopez Reyes.
“This gives me great pleasure, because it shows the interest on the part of the parents in their children obtaining this knowledge.”
To put together the exhibition, the two best works of each child were chosen. The “Art for Happy Children” program was made possible thanks to the support of various local businesses and sponsors, and even organizations such as Rotary District 5810 – North Texas.

“Arte para niños felices” Exposición colectiva

Cozumel, Quintana Roo a 28 de junio del 2023.
Círculo Cultural Arcano por segunda ocasión organiza la exposición colectiva “Arte para Niños Felices”, la cual se exhibe en el museo de la isla de Cozumel hasta el 16 de julio de 2023. La actividad de clausura consiste en la presentación oficial de 73 obras pictóricas que conforman esta exposición colectiva.
Las obras fueron realizadas por 37 niños de entre 6 y 12 años de edad. Previamente se evaluaron sus habilidades artísticas y su interés en formar parte del curso. Liliana Macotela, responsable del proyecto, comentó para cozumel4you, que este es un programa de educación artística pero también tiene el objetivo de despertar el potencial creativo de los niños:
“hacer que su desarrollo humano desde el nivel básico de educación, comience a desarrollarse completo, porque hoy en día en las escuelas de Cozumel no se tiene esta formación dentro de la carga educativa”.
Fueron 21 sesiones en las que los niños provenientes de escuelas públicas. tomaron el compromiso de acudir a todas sin falta. De esta forma es que lograron adquirir los conocimientos necesarios para lograr plasmar sus ideas en el papel. El programa fue impartido a los niños por parte de las artistas Niurka Guzman y Eva Lopez Reyes.
“Esto me da mucho gusto, porque demuestra el interés por parte de los padres de familia en que sus hijos obtengan este conocimiento”.
Para armar la exposición se eligieron las dos mejores obras de cada niño. Si bien el programa de “Arte para niños felices” es dirigido y coordinado por el Círculo Cultural Arcano, también pudo concretarse gracias al apoyo de diversas empresas y patrocinadores locales, incluso de organizaciones como el Rotary District 5810 – North Texas.
