Cozumel Rotary Club 5K Fun Run to End Polio

Saturday October 22nd ….

On Saturday October 22nd the Cozumel Rotary Club will host a 5k fun run with the proceeds going toward the eradication of Polio.

The Polio Eradication Program is one of Rotary International’s main programs therefore different special activities are held worldwide on October.

 

For the second time, Rotary Club Cozumel is organizing the run with a cause “End Polio.”

 

The 5k competitions include 2km for kids and people with disabilities.

 

Commemorative medals will be awarded when the finish line is reached. At the end of the run, a gathering with raffles and surprises.

If you are unable to be part of it, but are interested, you can SPONSOR a participant (child or disabled person) and contribute to the cause.

 

The donation is $150.00 pesos that equals 10 vaccines against polio.

 

The starting point is across the City Hall.

 

Kits will be handed over on Friday October 20.

Carrera 5K Contra la Polio del Club Rotario

Sábado Octubre 22…

El sábado 22 de octubre, el Club Rotario de Cozumel ha organizado una carrera 5k y lo que se recaude se aplicará para la erradicación de la polio.

El programa de Erradicación de la Polio, es uno de los principales programas de Rotary International y alrededor del mundo se celebran diferentes actividades especiales durante el mes de Octubre.

El Club Rotario de Cozumel organiza por segunda ocasión la

Carrera con Causa ¨Acabemos con la Polio¨

Una carrera de 5 km, con la modalidad de 2 km para niños y personas con discapacidad.

Se entregan medallas conmemorativas al llegar a la meta y al finalizar la carrera se realiza un convivio con rifas y sorpresas.

Si no puedes participar, pero estás interesado en ayudar, puedes APADRINAR  a un participante (niño o persona con discapacidad) y contribuir a la causa.

El donativo es de $150.00 pesos, que es el equivalente a 10 vacunas contra la Polio.

La salida es frente al Palacio Municipal.

La entrega de kits es el día viernes 20 de octubre.
